Creamy white heartwood and sapwood. Interlocked grain, with a medium texture. A rather soft species, not suitable for load bearing. Requires rapid evacuation to avoid stain and insect infestation. This wood dries quickly and easily and is stable. Wawa is Ghana's most abundant commercial species. |
