Additional Details

Pale creamy yellow heartwood and sapwood. It has a medium coarse texture. The grain is straight/interlocked, sometimes with irregular stripe. The logs sometimes have a brittleheart, providing wood of varible density. The wood dries quickly, without any problems. A stable medium weight wood, sometimes compared with Oak. The wood sometimes contains a yellow dye and may stain in contact with iron.
